Editorial policy
This page explains two separate things. The first is how the guidance we write ourselves is produced. The second is how the adverts posted by other people are handled. They are not the same, and it is worth being clear about which is which.
Who writes our guidance
The buying and selling advice on this site is written by the Juniper Online team. We are the people who run the marketplace day to day. We read the reports that buyers and sellers send in, and we see which adverts get answered and which do not. That is where the advice comes from. It is not sponsored, and no seller has ever paid to be mentioned in it.
We do not publish guest posts. We do not accept paid links. If a page ever carries a commercial arrangement, it will say so on the page itself.
How we keep it current
Guidance is reviewed and updated as the site changes. Each page that carries our own writing shows the date it was last reviewed. This policy was last reviewed on . If you spot something out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
Adverts are written by their sellers
Listings are user content. The title, the description, the photos and the price all come from the seller, not from us. We do not write adverts and we do not verify claims made inside them. Judge an item the way you would in a market: look at it, ask questions, and do not pay before you are satisfied.
New adverts are checked by our team before they appear on the site. That check is a screen for obvious problems, such as banned items, wrong categories, stolen photos and pricing meant as bait. It is not a guarantee that an item is genuine or that a seller is honest. Edits made to an advert that is already live go up without a second check, so an advert can change after approval.
Reporting and corrections
Every advert has a report control. Use it if the photos belong to someone else, if the price looks like bait, if the seller asks for money up front, or if the item is nothing like the advert said. Reports are read by a person. Adverts that break the rules are taken down.
